On April 10, First Focus and advocates for immigrant families, civil rights, working families, and children in challenged Congress to deliver immigration reform that works for children and families. The tens and thousands of us stood together at the Capitol Hill rally to make it clear to our lawmakers that getting immigration reform done means getting it right for kids and their families. This clip features the role children and families played in the rally, including our own Wendy Cervantes, who said, “All children deserve immigration reform that will promote their best interests and protect their rights, whether it’s a child who lives in fear everyday of suddenly losing a parent, a young dreamer who hopes that she will be able to build a future in the country she calls home, or a youth who made the dangerous journey alone from another country to seek refuge here in the U.S.”
