Securing safe and affordable childcare remains a significant challenge for millions of working parents and their children. With child care costs rivaling the annual price of college tuition at state colleges and universities, some low-income parents forego work, school, or place their children in unsafe care arrangements.

But there’s good news. Congress recently introduced the Child Care Access to Resources for Early-learning Act (Child C.A.R.E. Act). This bill would guarantee that families in poverty with children under four years old could access high-quality childcare by 2021.  Will you take action in support of this bill today?

Everyone benefits when kids have access to childcare. In fact, studies have found that every dollar invested in high-quality early education programs yields a return of  $8. Youngsters in these programs are more likely to graduate from high school, find a good job, and stay out of the criminal justice system.
