A 35-year-old Houston father of two young U.S. citizen children who experts say would likely have qualified for immigration relief had President Barack Obama enacted it this summer will be deported to his native El Salvador Saturday, his lawyer and family said.

Francis Gomez had been in Houston for nearly 20 years, working two jobs on a permit granted to immigrants from certain countries embroiled in violent conflict or suffering natural disasters.
