In commemoration of Universal Children’s Day and the 25th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, this briefing explores a critical modern theme for both global and domestic importance. In today’s world, youth must have access to online resources to succeed; those who lack that access fall behind. But that access raises a new set of threats of exploitation and abuse that youth, parents, and policymakers are struggling to understand and address.
