“We are delighted that the courts have blocked implementation of the Trump Administration’s public charge rule. The public charge rule does not just harm children, it directly targets them. Under the rule, the simple act of being a child is counted as a negative. Millions of children in immigrant families would lose access to health care, housing and nutrition services, whether from a direct impact or the rule’s chilling effect. We applaud these judges for halting its progress. We will continue to work to make sure that this rule is never implemented.”
