What: In May 2008, First Focus and Brookings Institution researcher Julia Isaacs released a paper estimating that two million children would be affected by the mortgage crisis. First Focus and Isaacs will release an updated paper reflecting a more comprehensive analysis, showing that the foreclosures crisis has had an even bigger impact on America’s children. This report also includes state-specific data. The author will be on hand to discuss her findings and methodology, and First Focus President Bruce Lesley will discuss the advocacy organization’s recommended federal policy responses.
