In response to President Biden’s announcement today of executive actions to improve child care, First Focus on Children President Bruce Lesley issued the following statement:
“We are pleased that as Congress continues to discuss increasing access to high-quality, affordable child care, the Biden Administration is tackling our nation’s child care crisis using the tools at hand. We heartily support efforts to better fund and reform our child care and early education system in ways that benefit children, parents, care workers and early educators, and uncompensated family caregivers, including parents.”
