First Focus submitted the following comment with suggestions for the US Department of Agriculture’s topics and questions for the creation of the 2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans. The new guidelines will for the first time specifically address pregnant and post-partum women as well as infants and toddlers, presenting a critical opportunity to reinforce important science-driven nutrition standards for this critical period of development.
