First Focus on Children, Pure Earth, and representatives from King County (Washington State) Hazardous Waste Management Program hosted this Children’s Week conversation on the dangers of lead exposure for children. While there has been recent progress in addressing lead exposure in our domestic infrastructure, and increased attention on the need to fund efforts abroad, more must be done to protect our children.
This webinar demonstrates how lead poisoning is an issue that impacts children worldwide, draws the connections between global and domestic occurrences of lead exposure, makes the case that response efforts can be done at all levels of government, and highlights the unique health impacts that occur for children.
Note: Due to a recording issue, the initial presentation by Pure Earth is not included in the video, but you can view slides for the presentation here.
