First Focus on Children submitted a comment on proposed rulemaking regarding child care affordability to the Federal Register today outlining the threat it poses to progress already made.

“The Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) is a lifeline for families who receive it, and the rules governing its functions should strengthen the program and not introduce uncertainty for families and providers, as the proposed Restoring Flexibility in the Child Care and Development Fund proposed rule would do,” the comment says. “We urge the Administration for Children and Families to withdraw its proposed rule and preserve the protections that currently exist for CCDF.”
