In preparation for the National Academy of Sciences information gathering session on their child poverty study, “Building an Agenda to Reduce the Number of Children in Poverty by Half in 10 Years,” First Focus submitted this commentary on the state of child poverty in the United States. 

First Focus Campaign for Children worked with Congress to secure funding for this study in the 2016 omnibus and supported the efforts of Congresswoman Lee and Congresswoman Roybal-Allard in championing this study.
