As immigrant and refugee students head back to school this fall, immigration raids are still a concern. Attendance can suffer. Students may experience heightened levels of anxiety. PTSD is a common side-effect. What can be done? How can we support children and families during these incredibly stressful experiences?

Join First Focus, the American Federation of Teachers, the National Immigration Law Center, and United We Dream on Thursday, September 8 at 7 pm Eastern using the hashtag #StopTheRaids. We’ll be talking about tools and resources available to educators, school administrators and service providers to help keep kids and families safe this school year.

Anyone can join – educators, parents, community leaders. Just use the #StopTheRaids hashtag and follow along on Twitter. It’s a great way to raise visibility of the more than 2.1 million undocumented youth in the United States affected by the raids.
