Enacted in 2010 as one of the cornerstones of evidence-based policy, the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program provides funding for states, territories, tribes and tribal organizations. MIECHV develops and expands evidence-based and promising, voluntary home visiting programs proven in scientific research and trials to improve the health, education and economic self-sufficiency of children and families living in poverty and experiencing other risk factors.
